Financial Hardship Policy

At Cash Champions, we understand that unexpected life events can temporarily disrupt your financial stability. We are committed to acting responsibly, transparently, and compassionately to support you through difficult times.

What is Financial Hardship?

Financial hardship occurs when you are willing to meet your financial obligations but are temporarily unable to do so due to an unexpected change in your personal circumstances.

Common causes of genuine financial hardship include:

  • Loss of employment or reduction in working hours.
  • Personal illness, injury, or medical emergencies.
  • Relationship breakdown or family separation.
  • The impact of natural disasters (floods, bushfires, storms).

If You Have an Active Loan with a Lender

⚠️ Important Notice regarding your active matched contracts:

Cash Champions is a free loan-finding service, not a direct lender. Your actual credit contract is held with your matched Australian credit provider.

If you are struggling to make payments on an active loan, you must contact your lender’s internal hardship department directly as soon as possible. Under Australian National Consumer Credit laws, all licensed credit providers are legally required to assess your hardship application and discuss flexible variations to your repayments.
